La Fille Mal Gardee
This is a brilliant ballet, and in my opinion, more complete Frederick Ashton ballet. Although ballet is essentially a ‘Light’ with minimal character development and a light romantic plot that is characterized by excellent choreography by Ashton and evocative sets and costumes by Osbert Lancaster.
